Sweets

Sweets, as its name say, are rich in sugar. It may be confectioneries or milk products made from Khoa (traditional Indian item, where milk is heated and the volume is decreased).
Confectionary preparations include chocolates, candies, skittles, snikers, cocoa, lolloies, toffees, jellybeans etc. Traditional Indian sweets are mainly desserts.
Candies are of different types. To name a few are Toffee, hard Candy, Fudge, Chocolates, Swiss Milk tablets, Kopiko, Marzipan, Divinity and Chewing gum.
Different sweet preparations are available in different ethnic groups. Indian sweets are made from Khoa. Wheat or rice flour and sugar are added to it. There are Hundreds of different preparations and techniques available. At the end, variety of nuts (Almonds, Pistachios, Cashews), Raisins, Saffron are added for marination.

Risk

Too much eating of sweets and confectionaries gives you unnecessary calories and increases your blood sugar level. So, for obese persons and patients with diabetes must control the intake of sweets.

Suggestion

Try to take sweets that are of low calorie. Manufacturers are marketing sweets made from artificial sweetener that gives you minimum calorie.
A bar of Chocolate is the best option while you are tired of working hard.

Recommended daily allowance

Depending upon the age and status of blood sugar, you are allowed to take 20 grams of sweets a day.
